From John Ramm - At 4.00 p.m. today there were two greenshanks clearly visible from
Newport bridge as were a pair of kingfishers. For birders who love to
see kingfishers there will rarely be a better opportunity to see them so
easily. Early evening on Poppit Sands there were 4 dunlins probing
close to the samphire banks at high tide.
