Castlemartin Corse

Wheatear movement today - nearly 30 on a single transect. At least 6 between the toilet block and Starman's Hall, party of 10 along the inland track, and a further 10 around the new hide, even perching on the turf roof. And a couple by the roadside as I drove away.

Otherwise just the usual two kestrels, chough feeding in the fields, and flocks of goldfinches and linnets. Wetland birds - just a couple of heron, mallard and 2 gadwall, water rail and moorhen calling from the reedbed.

The hide still under construction but getting there. Cetti's warbler singing nearby.
