A count in the rain around the Teifi this morning was much as expected for December.
23 Redshank by the Webley Hotel was good. Usually they are scattered around the estuary and upstream so hard to count but the very high water levels had pushed them all together. Also at this location there were 102 Curlew, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 5 Dunlin, a Bar Headed Goose with 120 Canada Geese, Teal and Wigeon.
Further upstream above Priory Bridge the only species not seen recently was a single Goldeneye.
The Bittern was seen from Kingfisher hide last Friday.
