Lapwing numbers rising, now 310 with 70 Teal opposite St. Dogmael's Quay this morning.
Little to report from the Webley, but 34 un-ringed Great Black-backed Gulls..
150 Teal at Creek Hide, a couple of Water Rail calling and a Kingfisher at Jewsons.
This evening we flushed a Woodcock from our ringing area near the River Viewpoint, and two adult male and a rh Goosander on the river.
Starlings;-
They formed two roosts this evening. c5000 on the marsh between the Osprey platform and Heron Pond, c20-30k in the reedbed between Creek and Kingfisher Hides. They were getting noisy too.
Back to Woodcock, and we have seen a significant increase in the last few days. Paddy saw 26 at Lawrenny the other night, and at our Crymych site the count went up from 3 to 7-9 birds on our last visit.
