Purple Sands. Tystie, Divers - Fishguard

Wendy, Chris and I took a trip from the Teifi .....to the Fishguard area this morning to enjoy the sunshine !
A perfect high tide visit to the Outer breakwater produced seven Purple Sandpipers, and singles of Dunlin and Ringed Plover. The water between the Inner and Outer breakwaters held four Great Northern Divers, one Red-throated Diver and a nice breeding plumage Great Crested Grebe.
After touring Pen Anglas, where nine Snipe and three Golden Plover were the highlights, a look from Fishguard Fort produced a single breeding plumage Black Guillemot swimming in front of the Stena ferry berth. A pair of Dartford Warblers were seen during the morning too.
