Common Scoter -- Teifi Marshes

This evening's visit produced the unusual sight of a female Common Scoter on the river from where Curlew Hide used to be. This sighting follows a male on the river near Newcastle Emlyn last week, and a small fluctuating number 4-7 out in the mouth of the river.
A pair of Goosander are still present on the river from the River Viewpoint. Pre-roosting Sand Martins reached c200 this evening with fewer Swallows than during the week. The highest hirundine count being c400 on Wednesday evening.
On the mud opposite St Dogmael's Quay, Black-tailed and Bar-tailed Godwit with one Ringed Plover.
