Last night was the first time this season that large numbers of Hirundines appeared for an evening feed and to roost. c170 Sand Martins and 30 Swallows were involved, and c12 Swifts fed amongst them. A Greenshank was calling from the river, but no Green Sandpipers yet...
2 or 3 Kingfishers were at Kingfisher Pond, 3 Teal and the summering Goosander on the river. 3 Med Gulls in the estuary and 10 Common Sandpipers at Jewsons.
