To try to tie together the two previous posts, it may be that the bird may be moving a short distance to feeding positions which are physically close but diffficult from the public highway. The bird will be looked for in the morning and, if present, information on viewing will appear here as soon as it's available. It also seems that the bird may have been present in the wider area since mid-October.
