Early evening in the calm conditions....all change at the Gann with 5 Bar-tailed Godwits, 2 Whimbrel, 6 Grey Plover, 37 Dunlin, 6 Ringed Plover, 1 Turnstone, 2 Little Egret, 4 Shelduck, 6 Mute Swan & 4 White Wagtail. Amongst the Oystercatchers several colour ringed birds, including 27 & A2 (black lettering on orange ring, right leg) - I think! Yesterday 06 which also had a plain orange ring on its left leg.
Lots of Swallows & a few Sand Martins at Marloes Mere but no House Martins or Swifts. At least 6 Teal, a Coot with 4 freshly hatched chicks, and a very territorial male Mute Swan giving the local Canada Geese a very, very, hard time defending his lady who was sleeping barely in view on their nest. Top bird.
