A damp morning at Newport

The last 2 broods of Shelducks are holding up well. A family of 6, & a slightly younger brood of 7, scurrying around on the mud.
2 redshanks (a Greenshank yesterday), 1 Curlew on the estuary, but 20 on the roost across the bay. Oystercatcher numbers increasing (I've still not seen one of the Pembs ringed birds).
A regular Skokholm Great Black Back (W:055).
6 subadult Mute Swans flew in - presumably the same group that spent several days here in April. As then, they made the resident pair pretty agitated.
