Tesco merlin, Abereiddi Cetti's

In a bid for the most unlikely post title - in the car park of the Pembroke Dock Tesco at 0800 this morning, a male merlin flew past me, within feet, as a couple of herring gulls mobbed it. It shot up and over the roof of the store. Perhaps it was after the wagtails.

Yesterday at Abereiddi, a Cetti's warbler was singing in the little reedbed next to the toilets.
