Spanish ringed Whimbrel at the Gann

On Monday evening, 7th May a whimbrel dropped in briefly on the beach in front of the car park. It was colour-ringed but not one from the welsh project. Just had news in of its previous sightings:
It was ringed as a one year-old in May 2011 in NW Spain, seen there on two occasions in May 2012 and this is the only other resighting. After a minute or so it headed off north with another whimbrel that also had colour-rings but unfortunately couldn't read them in time.

A wood warbler singing at Llandilo woods this morning was new in, and three different redstarts could be heard singing at the same site. A few crossbills also present most days too.
