The Teifi

Swifts still over the marsh and town daily, maximum a flock of 9 yesterday. Last night and this evening c500 Swallows gathering and going to roost in the reedbed.
3 Lapwing - the first returning birds, 2 Green Sandpipers and 2 Redshank along the river through the marsh this evening. 6 warbler species around the Mallard Pond this morning, Blackcap the most numerous with 10+ and most unusual in the reeds a Garden Warbler - all good signs of migration and interesting birds to be found....
