Green Woodpecker - Sprinkle Pill

I nearly didn't bother to get my bins on the woodpecker bouncing high over the top of Sprinkle Pill this afternoon, after all the Great-spots that have been around in recent days.  But glad I did! A Green Woodpecker heading from the Hook direction south towards Llangwm, over the pill at 17:30 in perfect light.

Hadn't really appreciated how rare a sighting this is in Pembrokeshire, although Dave filled me in as he just got on it as it dipped out of view!

Highlights of the WeBS count, 7 Grey Plover, good numbers of Golden Plover building, over 400 already, 70 Wigeon and a decent gull roost forming on the river as the sun dropped. Mistle Thrush, Fieldfare and Redwing too.

A Firecrest at St Brides this morning the only bird of note.
