Gann 14th-17th

A steady trickle of waders these last few days, Dunlin peaked at 30 this evening, Ringed Plover at 10 yesterday.  Redshank max has been 4, after several days without we had 2 Greenshank this evening.  Other waders have included a single Bar-tailed Godwit, around 30 Oystercatchers, Curlew down to just 1 this evening, and Whimbrel seem to be fewer every day (none this evening).

The Brent Geese have been down to 30 the last 3 days, surely won't be long before they are all gone.  A nice surprise this evening was a single Sandwich Tern.

Following on from the Greenland Wheatears on 13th, we had another male this evening, and yesterday evening we had 10 in a single field at Marloes Mere (luckily it is within cycling distance!).

On calm nights this week we've had a really impressive roost of Pied/White Wagtails in the reedbed by the house: on 15th a minimum of 70 were on the wires above before dropping in, at least 25 of which were Whites.  On 15th the Grasshopper Warbler was still reeling here, and a Sedge Warbler was singing.  Finally, we secured another 'garden' tick with a noisy (aren't they always?) Greylag Goose on the lagoon on the same day.
