The Teifi

Hirundines...all 3 common species being seen daily in variable numbers. Sand Martins are the most numerous with counts up to 100. The number of feeding hirundines is likely to be dictated by the vast numbers of Midges? that fill the air on some days.


Swallows are reported in single figures and House Martins in counts of 1 or 2 birds.

The first Whimbrels today and the max count of Common Sandpipers is of 5. The first White Wagtails yesterday though groups of Wagtails sp. have been seen for a few days.
