Paul Grennard was there before me but i opened the score when I picked up a Buzzard flying on the easten periphery of Dowrog to our right, heading north past the windmill.
Soon after Paul spotted a ringtail Hen Harrier against a background of trees etc which moved to our left where in the half light it got mixed up among the background with a male Kestrel flying fast and low pretending to be a Merlin.
Soon afer a definite male HH was spotted by Paul, which showed briefly in front of us before plonking down in the willow carr.
Impossible to know if they were the same birds, but soon after I caught a male HH in front of us from within the willow carr. It then came out in front of the willows givinng lovely views and was then joined by the/another ringtail? interacting like a ballet dancing pair
It was absolutely lovely, making the session special, before they plonked down by the corner stone, just before we left. Sadly no Pallid Harrier but we were not complaining,
