Dale airfield

A drier return to the airfield this afternoon just to try and get a better look at yesterdays plovers. Only two of the Goldies seen and heard today both Europeans. However a dotterel appeared at the intersection hotspot. It kepted just to the edge of the stoney field getting some shelter from the brisk northerly. After a couple of photos I left it in peace and had a good look around the other runways and the stoney field, no sign of any other waders but looked like there'd been an arrival of wheatear c20 mostly in the stoney field. As I was walking by the water trough I heard the dotterel flying around, it looked like it came down back at the intersection. A few Chiffchaffs were in the blackthorn and along the lane up from Dale. A few migrant hawkers and common darters enjoying the warm sunshine in the shelter of the track up.
