Baird's Sandpiper on beach at West Angle

A juvenile Baird's Sandpiper was on the beach at West Angle at 09:00 this morning some pics attached.  The bird was  feeding on the beach just above the tideline during the high tide period.  There were several tourists on the beach and the bird flew off quite high on one occasion, doing several circuits of the bay before dropping down in amongst the rocks on the southern edge of the beach.  Hopefully the bird will return to the beach to feed as the tide drops - when there is more room to accommodate both the tourist and the bird.  Otherwise, might be worth checking The Gann....
