Castlemartin Corse

Bright and breezy on the Corse this morning which is still extensively flooded as per Richard Ellis' post on Friday.

At the far end of the Corse on the flooded fields there were over 400 Wigeon and plenty of Mallard and Teal. A couple of hundred or more Lapwings were on the edges of the flood together with 6 Greylags.

Over the reedbed the dark Marsh Harrier was much in evidence putting on a good display. A large female Peregrine made a couple of sorties around the Corse, at one point joining the Harrier to give a view of both in the bins at once. Three Chough and 25 Skylarks were near Starmans Hall.
