Castlemartin Corse

The dark marsh harrier was flying north over the Angle road by the Freshwater West turning at around 10.15 this morning - I watched it as it flew over the fields and lost it close to the Haven.

Someone has pulled the plug on the Corse so water levels have dropped sharply....I met Elwyn D near Starmans Hall and we headed inland. Around 7-800 golden plover and smaller nos of lapwing on the grazed fields on the N side, otherwise much as usual - the ducks had moved downstream, a tight mass of wigeon, mallard, teal, shoveler...3 buzzards.
