Castlemartin

I did the Webs with Morris North at Castlemartin Corse this morning. With the beach outfall opened up some days ago the Corse has drained almost completely with no water in front of the reed bed or on the fields at the east end of the Corse. Consequently there were few wetland birds to be seen - Mallard 1, Teal 35, Greylag Geese 6, Curlew 25, Lapwing 260, Snipe 7, Little Egret 1, Grey Heron 1.
The Marsh Harrier was seen a few times over the reed bed and there were 5 Buzzards in total perched on posts soaking up the sun.
