Llandshipping late morning

As the tide dropped some great birds gathered onto the mudflats around Landshipping. First birds present were Redshank and Teal, with the latter reaching about 200+ altogether but none bore that glorious vertical white stripe! With more mud exposed Dunlin numbers continued to increase, c450 in total. Small numbers of Wigeon, Mallard and Curlew were around the estuary and 5 Grey Plovers with 30 Lapwings were foraging in the seaweed. A quick look at the pool behind the road revealed a Greenshank and 4 more Redshanks.
