A large female Sparrowhawk bombed through the valley at low level mid morning, accompanied by alarm calls from a variety of small birds. We also had a flock of around a dozen Swallows that moved through. In the sallows a handful only of Willow Warblers and two female Blackcaps.
This afternoon at Mullock Bridge 3 Sand Martins over, and at least 2 Greenfinches singing, along with the Chiffchaffs.
