St David's

Just back home after a couple of glorious days at Leithyr Meadows campsite St David's. As already reported by Mike Y P the weather has brought in a flood of migrants with many warblers and Swallows and House Martins hawking or passing along the coast.

Yesterday a Pied Flycatcher popped up on the hedge as we were having breakfast in the Van and was obliging enough to come back for a photo. On walk up to Carn Llidi there were numerous Wheatears in line with the big numbers reported on Skokholm and the hedges held plenty of Chiffchaffs, Willow Warblers and Blackcaps.

This morning several Whitethroats were singing away around the campsite, seemingly getting down to setting up territories immediately after their arrival.
