Another ring ouzel

A female ring ouzel was at Carn Breseb, Mynydd Preseli yesterday - although fairly regular on passage in this area, this is quite a late date for a spring migrant. Also of note was a male whinchat that dropped in briefly before heading north, a kestrel and a steady passage of swallows heading west in twos and threes all day, but probably totaling over 100.


This site is part of a study plot monitoring adult survival in wheatear and the breeding season is already well underway with most pairs now on eggs.
