Regarding Gareth's report posted earlier, very happy that he managed to catch up with the Black Guillemot in Fishguard Harbour. Myself & Chris Grayell observed a bird in the same area of the Harbour just a couple of weeks ago from a Seatrust survey on the ferry & although seemingly elusive at times, which they always have been over the years this is no deviation from their traditionally regular behaviour at the site. Where the person who gave it to Gareth got the information regarding the breeding situation this year is a bit of a mystery to me & indicates that it probably wasn't a local birder.
