Castlemartin Corse Access

The new access to Castlemartin Corse and Gupton Farm was formally opened on Saturday. Access is from the Freshwater West end, there are new gates, waymarkers and map panels including one on the side of the toilet block at Freshwater West car park. A hide is planned by the National Trust in time for the autumn. Dogs not allowed except on the bridleway.

The farm and Corse much as to be expected at the time of year. Lots of young birds (whitethroat, reed and sedge warbler, reed bunting, linnet, stonechat, goldfinch ,skylark, meadow pipit, etc.). A single curlew flew over this morning, 14 chough on Broomhill Burrows.
