Garganey - Marloes Mere

Following in others footsteps... Gann: 80 Oystercatchers, 10 Redshank, 9 Teal, 4 Little Egret, a Knot and a 1st W Med Gull. A Guillemot out in the bay. And 2 of Skokholms 1st W GBBs too distant for any numbers. Dale Airfield: Amazingly similar number of Wheatear to Richard - 22! Golden Plover calling from the beet field at the far end of main runway, but couldn't find it. Track up 3 Willow warblers, a Chiffchaff, Blackcap and Spotted Flycatcher. Marloes Mere - plenty of water: 30 Canadas, 20 Mallard, 6 Teal, a Shoveler and 2 Black-tailed godwits. Juv/female Garganey was down the track from the Britton Hide. Derek joined me as light was going and added another Black-tailed godwit (3 total) and 3 more Shoveler (4 total). Record of 2 Marsh Harriers noted in logbook from earlier today.
