Regarding the osprey sighting by Richard Ellis on Sunday at West Williamston, Graham Brace and I were on the river at Slebech the day before and saw an osprey just down stream of Slebech House. It headed towards Blackpool Mill and we saw it again further up the river. Later in the morning we spotted it again in Millin Pill.
On Sunday, around 2.00pm, I spotted what was possibly the same bird that Richard Ellis saw flying down stream along the margins of Benton Wood and over towards the Cresswell River.
