Hook WeBS and Dale/Marloes

A stunningly still WeBS count this morning at Hook, totals included 51 Greylag Geese, 13 Greenshank, 91 Redshank, 600 Golden Plover, 75 Lapwing, 71 Wigeon, just 38 Teal & 8 Dunlin, along with 2 Great-crested Grebe & 6 Black-tailed Godwit.

Late afternoon did St.Bride's (a Goldcrest), Dale (a Chiffchaff), Dale Fort (err...2 Robin) & Marloes Mere (7 Lapwing and 2 Wigeon).  Out on the coastal side of the Mere a Short-eared Owl came up from the last field, and 16 Chough were feeding on the cliff tops and adjacent stubble field above Renney Slip where the Grey Seals were fantastic entertainment.
