This morning at Mullockbridge we caught 4 Firecrests in the first 10 minutes after opening the nets at 0815hrs. I wonder how many must be out there. Then a couple of Chiffchaffs including one which had been ringed on Skokholm on 15th May this year so it has been somewhere north or west of here and is presumably on its way back South but this time avoiding the island.
Lots and lots of tits around even though we aren't feeding yet, and a load of Goldcrests too. A great morning.
