Coastal walk - Martin's Haven to St Brides Haven

Late this afternoon, after it had more or less stopped raining and the wind had died down a bit, we decided to walk the coastal stretch between Martin's Haven and St Brides with the aim of doing another stretch for the Non-Estuarine Waterbirds Survey (NEWS).

Not too many birds of note along the coast but 10 common scoters were resting just offshore at Musselwick Sands, watching the nearby surfers perhaps?
Too far away and the light was too poor for a decent photo
At the St Brides end it was pleasing to see that the grey phalarope was still present and also 14 turnstones feeding on the rocky shore nearby. All were just outside the more sheltered bay a little way to the east of the Haven. Maybe they had been disturbed by a jogger and dog on the beach?
It was getting dark and also drizzling, so no hope of a photo today; this one was from a couple of days ago
