Gann- Little Gull

I didn't have to be in school until the afternoon today so I had a little trip down to Dale. First the Gann, on the pools 6 Goldeneye and 5 Mute Swans, several Little Grebe, an immature Great Created Grebe was a little unusual, and a Greenshank on the shoreline with lots of Curlews and Oystercatcher. A flock of Black-headed Gulls stated to accumulate on the pools. Pleased to find an adult winter Little Gull in the flock, never relised how small they are!

Airfield, very wet, few Golden Plover over, Lapwing in the nearby fields, and plenty of Starlings. Unfortunately no sign of any Lapland Bunting after looking everywhere Brian said.
