Lapland buntings - Dale airfield

Min 4 Lapland buntings at the airfield this morning. Perfect conditions for a change with barely a breath of wind. Other sightings of Laps were a possible 8 (a flock flying up which definitely had 4 Laps before it split up) and couple of single birds. The 4 gave great views as they fed west of pond. Also 2 Golden plover on main runway, 9 Lapwing flying around. 9 Snipe. Juv Merlin and a Peregrine. 4 Reed buntings, one was feeding out in the same area as the Lapland buntings. 8 Goldfinch. Gann (post Derek): Med Gulls 5 Adults, 3 1CY, 1 2CY. C20 Common gull. 1CY GBB gull with Skokholm ring (possibly 081, but very distant) 4 Redshank, a Lapwing, plus c10 Snipe and 55 Teal put up by dog walker. (9 Brent on the small islands, 8 flew off towards Angle leaving a lone bird).
