What a difference (just over) a week makes - on 9 Feb there were...see entry below, but 1800 lapwing and 800 golden plover, 200 dunlin, lots of snipe, pintail.... Today (standing in for Richard C for WEBS) just 180 lapwing, no golden plover, snipe were sitting tight, a few mallard. Conditions were poor, light rain and strong wind. We flushed two jack snipe on the outrun and two (possibly the same two) on the return. Merlin and single marsh harrier showed briefly.
