The flooded saltmarsh at high tide contained a more-than-usual count of wildfowl - 20 Shelduck, 28 Mallard, 46 PB Brents (no rings that we could see) and 4 Mute Swans. Also of note were 35 Snipe flying around the pools and a good number of Med Gulls, many sporting their new black heads. However there were only two Dabchicks and only two Goldeneye, both females.
