Skomer

We also moved out on Sunday the 28th. It was a little bit more bumpy than we would have liked but we made it, if a little wet. The island is extremely baren and bare but there were plenty of seabirds around on our return. Jack Sound was well used by Black-headed Gulls, Mediterranean Gulls, Kittiwakes, Common Gulls, Gannets and Porpoises. Fulmars, Razorbills, Guillemots and Kittiwakes have all been on the cliffs at some point in the last few days. Other highlights include ringtail Hen Harrier, Merlin, Short-eared Owl, moderate numbers of Robins, Song Thrushes and Blackbirds as well as at least 7 Stonechats between North Haven and the Farm today.
All we need now is our first warbler, wheatear or swallow and it will really feel like spring.
