Deer Park

Quiet on the Deer Park this morning between 0800 and 0900 with yesterday’s Willow Warblers seemingly having moved on. The only bird of note was the male Merlin which came off the cliff at the far end, hacked off towards Skomer and chased a passing Sand Martin before flying east along the coast.

In Rath Cottage garden there were 3 Blackcaps (2 male, 1 female). A good tally of 29 White Wags on the freshly tilled field behind Rath Cottage together with 2 Pied Wags and 3 Wheatears.
