The Teifi by numbers....

Visitors are fascinated by the sheer number of birds on the Teifi during the late Summer evenings. Murmurations of Jackdaws containing 500 + birds, to the pre-roost gatherings this evening. Tonight at c830pm c2600 mixed Corvids feeding on the mud. c2500 large Gulls waiting to fly to Cardigan Island and the bay to roost....But only c450 Canada Geese - some geese are missing..!

One or two Little Stints this evening, 3 juv Bar-tailed Godwits flew in calling off the sea - new arrivals ! A local juvenile Peregrine took a juv Ringed Plover, and 2 Greenshank feeding in mid channel.
