Dale & Martin's Haven

No sign of the Buff-breasted Sandpiper on the Airfield at 1230 today, but one juvenile Ringed Plover.

On the Gann an Osprey was fishing actively in the pools at high tide (1400). No wing tags or rings seen. Also 3 Dabchick and 2 Teal.

Yesterday (Saturday) we got a lovely passage of small birds through the garden at Martin's Haven: 2 very vocal Reed Warblers, 3 Reed Buntings, 4-5 each Whitethroats and Chiffchaffs, and up to 10 Willow Warblers. All gone by the afternoon, and none apparent in the breeze this morning.
The other notable arrival has been several groups of large immature Blackbirds, the males with very dark bills. Probably 10 just in the area of the shallows and willows yesterday morning.
