This morning at Martins Haven there was the biggest flock of house sparrows I have ever seen along the roadside near the car park, around Lockley Lodge and in the valley. It was very mobile and looked like predominantly females but there were well over 200 birds involved and maybe heading towards 300. Sadly I was not able to stop and have a good look but perhaps worth a more careful look. The Martins Haven valley was really jumping with birds.
