This morning included 2 Med Gulls, a 1st W & an ad Red H62N which seems to be from Hungary. Waders were 1 Ringed Plover on the beach, a Greenshank & a Redshank.
Yesterday there were 4 rh Goosanders at the bridge with nearly 70 Mallard. With difficulty I tracked down the small wader flock - 12 Ringed Plovers, 1 Dunlin & 1 Sanderling - in the Boat Club rubble. A nearby Snipe. Wigeon now up in dribs & drabs to 13.
Also a mini influx of Blackbirds & Jays + 6 Ravens displaying over the white house.
& where do they go to? Herring Gull Blue 751 was ringed at a Gloucester landfill site in 2006. There were several further sightings in that area till 2011, the nothing till Newport yesterday.
