Ty Rhyg

A perfect dawn at Ty Rhyg this morning, though with surprisingly little in the way of overhead migration considering the conditions. Still plenty of chiffchaffs about (30+), some of which were singing as if spring had started again, also a grasshopper warbler, 5 blackcap, 15+ goldcrests, 4 snipe, 1 teal, 5 crossbills and a handful of swallows heading east. A willow tit was heard, as was a tree pipit somewhere up high above, but no meadow pipits at all.
