St Davids Head am

Still quiet here, there were a Short-eared Owl, 2 Water Rails and 3 Swallows, also a few Song Thrushes present and a few flyover Skylarks but that was about it. There's still a loose flock of 20 odd Chough, down from 40 in June but very vocal (a cacophony of Choughs?) and healthy it seems; the flock breaking up into pairs when feeding. Spring will be interesting if we have a mildish winter. A number of Common Darters seen as well as a large Dragonfly which could have been anything but having just seen Vagrant Emperor in the South-west I did wonder.  Later, a Jack Snipe and 2 Common Snipe were at a very overgrown Heathfield GP.
