Bumped into Sash watching a YBW putting on a show in sycamore between Goose Cottage and Trehill late this afternoon, along with a few Goldcrest and 2 Ciffchaffs. Dave (coast guard) and I then had good views in the withies a little later.
Gann first light: 10 Redshank, 7 Little egret, 5 Bar tailed godwit, 4 Dunlin, 2 Common sandpiper, a Ringed plover, a Greenshank and a Kingfisher. 30 Teal.
St Annes and Mill Bay: Goldcrest and chiffchaffs in hedgerows to lighthouse. 2 Wheatear and few Pied wagtails at the head. The sunny east facing cliff and Mill Bay were hopping with birds inc Chiffchaff, Blue tit, Long-tailed and Great tit. Couple of Blackcaps. Little groups of Goldcrest flitting around. Spent an hour grilling everything that moved and called, must be something in there!
