St Bride's Bay

Had a quick spin around the bay late afternoon in search of scoter.  From Broad Haven there were 90, along with 3 Great Northern Divers and a single Red-throat.  Heading north to Haroldston Chins, an additional 215 (mostly distant) and another 2 Great Northern Divers.  Scanning from Druidston there were around 300 (very distant), bringing the total to over 600.  So still above average numbers in the bay.  Just need to a) get there in the morning with better light and b) entice them closer to shore!

ps - Toby: nice work with the Ring-billed Gull.  Super bird.  A small influx of new birds into Ireland recently, so maybe we can expect another somewhere soon?
