Firecrest, Ring-billed Gull, Bittern... variety in the North

An early morning at Kingfisher Pond on the Teifi Marshes found a Bittern roosting in one of our net rides, and this Firecrest - a second calendar year male, aged and sexed in the hand.

A Goshawk over completed a great start to the day for Chris J.

The adult Ring-billed Gull was in the early evening Gull roost at Llys y fran Resr, where  Great Crested Grebes are now up to 16.

The Common Scoter flock has now risen to 20 birds feeding just beyond the surf at the mouth of the Teifi.
