Teifi WeBS

The count of ducks and waders around the Teifi this weekend was very much as expected from regular visits by several observers.
12 Goosander and 6 Goldeneye were the duck highlights. The Pochard x Tufted  hybrid ducks were on the river after not being seen for a few weeks. This is probably the commonest occurring duck hybrid in the UK.
Wigeon numbers down but teal much the same at 140.
Waders included 47 Dunlin, 12 Ringed Plover, singles of  Greenshank, Bar-tailed Godwit, Grey Plover and Knot. 6 Little Egrets.
Only 40 Lapwing this morning but afternoon low tide counts this week have been over 200.
Out in the bay, no Divers this week but Common Scoter can be easily seen most days. 18 yesterday.
