Hirundines at Gelli

At least 80 sand martins were feeding in the shelter of trees near the river at Gelli bridge during this morning's rain. A single house martin was among them, and a short distance away two swallows. These were the first hirundines of the year for me.

Later in the morning two more sand martins headed north over Wauncleddau, near Crymych seemingly oblivious to the force 6 wind.
